CDN Candle Wicks
CDN Series Cotton Candle Wicks
The CDN wick is a flat-braided cotton wick reinforced with an internal paper filament. The paper filament regulates capillary action (the flow of melted wax to the flame), producing a stable flame and a controlled melt pool.
CDN wicks are designed primarily for container candles and perform especially well in soy, coconut, and para-soy wax blends. Compared to standard CD wicks, CDN wicks provide a more moderated burn and help reduce soot and mushrooming.

What Do the CDN Numbers Mean?
The numbers in CDN wicks (CDN 2, 3, 4, 5, etc.) do not refer to the physical size or length of the wick. All CDN wicks are made from the same flat-braided cotton with an internal paper filament core.
The number indicates burn strength (fuel flow to the flame):
• Lower number = smaller flame and smaller melt pool
• Higher number = stronger flame and wider melt pool
Wick performance varies based on container diameter, wax type, fragrance load, and dye. Burn testing is always required before full production.
